Ferrari sticks its new GT3 racer on its configurator. Much procrastinating ensues

Here’s something you don’t see every day – Ferrari has stuck a racecar on its configurator for us mere mortals to design and dream of buying.

Yep, you can now spec your ideal 296 GT3, with many pretty exterior colours, some fancy graphics and a number of race-spec interior options available.

The 296 GT3 is a properly good looking racer too, with a swan-neck rear wing and a front splitter that could pass as a useful snow plough were the front suspension to fail. On the configurator you can delete what’s known as the ‘Spa Launch Livery’ too – that removes all the stickers and gives a better view of the mad bodywork.

There’s also the option of a completely bare carbon body, plus you can swap the lights out for retro yellow versions or add extra spotlights for night racing. Shame Ferrari doesn’t list the price, though.

Still, is this the coolest configurator around right now?
