1,532 kW, Quad Motors, and Intelligent Innovation

Xiaomi is making a serious entrance into the electric vehicle world with its latest tech reveal: an intelligent EV chassis that can accommodate up to four motors and deliver a jaw-dropping 1,532 kW (2,054 horsepower). This cutting-edge chassis is loaded with innovations, featuring active suspension, a 48V electromechanical braking system, and 48V steer-by-wire steering.

Three years of intensive R&D has gone into developing this sophisticated foundation, marrying complex control algorithms with state-of-the-art Bosch hardware. Each corner of the chassis gets its own 4.6 kW power source for real-time damping adjustments, which means tighter handling, reduced body roll, and a significantly smoother ride whether you’re cornering hard or braking sharply.

At its heart is a quad-motor setup that elevates performance to new extremes. With two brand-new motors joining two pre-existing units, the system’s combined output skyrockets to 1,532 kW (2,054 horsepower), promising sensational acceleration and razor-sharp responsiveness. This suggests Xiaomi might be cooking up an EV that can outpace the already impressive SU7 Ultra in the near future.

The 48V power structure, initially popularized by Tesla’s Cybertruck, enables line-controlled braking and steering. Xiaomi has done away with traditional hydraulic and mechanical linkages, opting instead for software-controlled systems that deliver adaptive steering ratios and customizable braking force, ensuring precise feedback across different driving conditions.

Xiaomi’s new chassis tech also optimizes energy efficiency by reducing braking heat, which can extend driving range. And with seamless integration into Xiaomi’s broader ecosystem, the chassis allows drivers to link their car to a range of smart devices, bringing Xiaomi’s connectivity to the road.

In the quest to make top-tier EV tech available to a broader audience, Xiaomi’s intelligent chassis is a serious leap forward. It’s clear they’re setting a high bar, pushing innovation in intelligent driving, connected interiors, and the electronic systems that make tomorrow’s cars smarter than ever.
