Brit firm Venture Engineering announces its plans for the 2023 and 2024 iterations of the famous hill climb

Just last week we brought you news that a BMW XM Label Red was set to take on the Pikes Peak hill climb this year. We still don’t have too much detail on that entry just yet, but the official 2023 competitor list has thrown up another surprise.

That’s because we’re told that Venture Engineering’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be the first ever entry of an Aston race car at Pikes Peak.

As a partner of Aston Martin Racing, Venture will enter the Vantage in the Time Attack 1 class in 2023. It’ll apparently work with Aston to alter the GT3’s engine mapping, dampers, aero, weight and gearing for the Colorado race to the clouds. Probably wise. It’s also teaming up with an experienced driver – three-time winner and fellow Brit Robin Shute.

The 2024 race is the one that Aston fans will really want to watch, though, because Venture will then enter a further developed Vantage in the Unlimited class. Hopefully that will be complete with bonkers wings and 2,000bhp…
