Expected to be unveiled during Monterey Car Week

During its annual Monterey Car Week press conference, Acura has a penchant for saying, "One more thing," which is fantastic for oohs and aahs, even if it means we have to put down our champagne and start typing. The celebrations in Monterey this year were no exception, with Acura treating us to something really fantastic after the new ZDX's Thursday night premiere.

What then do we have? Some type of design research, or even a fully realized concept automobile that will be unveiled soon. This research "is inspiring everyone in our studio to push the boundaries" of EV design, according to Acura's executive design director and all-around ace man, Dave Marek. Acura simply refers to this as "its latest Electric Vision." Neat.

It is clear from these teasers' vehicle's shape and dimensions that Acura is considering some sort of high-performance future. Does that imply the arrival of some type of insane electric Acura hypercar? Probably not, but gosh, it would make a killer NSX replacement.

Our best assumption is that Acura will eventually produce one of its several Precision-named concept vehicles, which have a history of influencing the appearance of subsequent models. For the time being, this could simply be a "one more thing" preview, but it seems like something wonderful is on the way.
