An 817 bhp ode to Mopar

Meet the ‘Infected,’ Ringbrothers’ jaw-dropping tribute to Mopar - a 1970 Plymouth Cuda reimagined with 817 bhp (610 kW), a supercharged Hemi V8, and a pink paint job that practically shouts ‘70s muscle. Ringbrothers, if you don’t already know, is the family-run powerhouse transforming vintage American muscle into modern legends. And this time, they’ve outdone themselves.

Under the hood, it’s packing serious firepower. That 817 bhp Hemi V8, paired with a six-speed manual, is more than capable of propelling the Cuda at speeds that could put it in a head-to-head with some serious track contenders. There’s a Wavetrac differential at its heart, along with Fox RS coilovers, hefty six-piston brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber on each corner, keeping all that power firmly in check. It’s not hard to imagine the Infected setting a solid Nürburgring lap, if only as a fitting homage to the name.

Ringbrothers didn’t just stop at performance; they gave the Cuda a sleek, modern silhouette while staying true to its iconic ‘70s lines. The wheelbase has been extended, and they’ve tucked in the bumpers to create a sharper, cleaner look that honors the original without trying too hard. Up front, the grille is crafted from a single piece of billet aluminum, complemented by an extended splitter and rocker panels designed to enhance airflow. The carbon-fiber bonnet? Perfectly positioned to reduce impact, not that you’d be charging it into battle anytime soon.

Inside, it’s luxury meets raw muscle. White leather upholstery with bespoke instrument clusters, gauges, and switchgear give the interior a polished, premium feel. There’s even Apple CarPlay, a bit of tech for the classic Cuda, although this one’s so meticulously crafted you might be too busy enjoying the drive to reach for the sat-nav.

Jim Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers, summed up the project perfectly: “The Cuda has always been one of those cars we’ve been itching to build. Its lines and proportions are quintessential muscle, making it the perfect canvas to break new ground.” And that paintwork, dubbed ‘Pink Eye,’ pays homage to Mopar’s classic colors of the ‘70s, with a modern twist developed in partnership with their paint gurus, a loud and proud nod to the Redeye engine and everything that makes Mopar muscle unforgettable.
