In fact, we’re not quite sure how this 850bhp six-wheeled leviathan is even allowed on public roads…

We know ridiculously large 6x6 trucks are all the rage in the US right now, and we know that Florida-based Apocalypse Manufacturing has built things like a six-wheeled version of the Ford Bronco. But this, well, this is frankly ridiculous…

It’s called the Juggernaut, and Apocalypse describes it as its “most aggressive vehicle so far”. Forget the century, that might just be the understatement of the millennium.

“This one-of-a-kind creation is essentially a compilation of our greatest builds,” says Joseph Ghattas, owner, engineer and head designer of Apocalypse Manufacturing.

“Borrowing the best aspects and features previously highlighted in our 180 6x6s currently on the road. Our customers wanted an immensely powerful and ultra-luxurious super-truck and they got it with the Juggernaut.”

Somewhere underneath all the madness there’s a RAM pickup, while under the bonnet there’s a modified 6.2-litre Hellcat V8 that’s sending 850bhp to all six wheels.

Fancy some more figures? The Juggernaut is 2.24m tall, 2.49m wide (not great for London width restrictors, though it'd probably just plough through them) and 6.91m long. Humungous. Those tyres are 40-inch monsters and the wheels are 22-inches despite looking more like trolley castors in this company. Oh, and those madcap arches obviously allow for ridiculous suspension travel, which Apocalypse says it has tested by jumping the Juggernaut ten feet into the air over 50 times. We hope they’ve got a full-time chiropractor on the payroll.

Apparently there are five different drive modes (Sport, Drag Race, Baja, Rock and Mud) as well as a custom off-road mode where you can save your favourite settings. There are locking diffs too, plus steel front and rear bumpers and a high-performance cooling system. Probably for the best.

Apocalypse says the Juggernaut will tow over 9,000kg and that the interior is “one of the largest cabins ever produced” that will comfortably seat a seven-foot-tall person. Pro basketball players, get your orders in now.

The price for all this size? Well, apparently there are two in stock right now for R5.1 million . Bargain.
