Aspark takes a prototype on a road drive in Monaco to remind you of its ridiculous electric hypercar

Remember the Aspark Owl? You’re forgiven if you’ve forgotten all about it. It was way back in 2018 that we first saw that video of it setting a 1.9 second 0-100kph time in a car park, and the internet doesn’t have the greatest long-term memory.

So, in case you need a jog – the Owl is a Japanese electric hypercar that’s promising 2,012bhp, a range of 402 Km and a 0-100kph time of 1.72 seconds. Yep, it’s somehow improved since 2018.

And yet despite all the promises, we still haven’t seen a proper production version. Heck, we were even told it officially went on sale in 2021. But Aspark reckons it’s still on the way, so it has taken a prototype onto the streets of Monaco to remind you that the Owl exists.

And just look at it. When it does eventually arrive, it’ll be built by Manifattura Automobili Torino in Italy and we’re told that 50 will make their way to customers. Probably won't forget it now...
