The 3 Series receives new paint colors, an upgraded iDrive system, and a larger PHEV battery, but diesel engines are discontinued.

The only external alterations for this seventh-generation G20 3 Series since it was last upgraded in 2022 are two new paint colors, Arctic Race Blue metallic and Fire Red metallic, and new 19-inch wheel styles. New illuminated air vents, various material choices, some blingy glass trim pieces from BMW's more upscale vehicles, and a new steering wheel design with two spokes for base models and three spokes with a flat bottom for M Sport package cars are all shown inside. Sadly, it still appears to be a hefty wheel.

Also, iDrive has been upgraded to operate the latest version of the BMW operating system, which is 8.5. It, according to what we've been informed, relies on "touch control and natural language" to further minimize the necessity for physical buttons. As a whole, boooo.

In any case, the 330e plug-in hybrid receives the most significant change. This increases the all-electric range to a maximum of 63 miles on the WLTP test by using a new Gen5 high-voltage battery with a bigger 19.5kWh capacity. Two hours and fifteen minutes is needed for a complete recharge from empty thanks to the quicker 11kW charging supported by such battery. We've been informed that a significant amount of chassis adjustment aimed at enhancing comfort is also beneficial for all new 3 Series variants.
