Chinese uber-estate has tank-turning capabilities and tremendous power thanks to quad motors. M3 Touring, eat your heart out.

Since its creation in 2021, Zeekr has undoubtedly been quite active. The EV sub-brand, which is owned by Geely, has previously revealed the 001 estate, the X crossover, and the 009 minivan. Now it wants to enter the performance estate market.

It will accomplish this using the 001 FR. It also clearly covers the performance ground. Heck, with the help of an American-style one-foot rollout, its four silicon carbide electric motors—one for each wheel—pump out a genuinely horrifying 1,265 horsepower, enabling a 0-62 mph pace of 2.07 seconds.

Although Zeekr refers to the 001 as a shooting brake, it is unmistakably an estate and, if it ever left China, could compete with the Audi RS6. Sadly, that seems doubtful even if normal 001 deliveries are supposed to begin in Europe next month.

With a 100kWh battery pack and 800V design, the 001 FR can be charged from 10% to 80% in under 15 minutes. Brembo brakes are used to stop the vehicle, and the body is made of carbon fiber to lighten it and increase downforce. Additionally, it can do tank turns since each motor is separately managed by sophisticated torque vectoring software.

Also claimed to be the first production vehicle to use a built-in "satellite communications pack" that connects with Geely's own satellites to ensure you never lose signal is the FR, which apparently stands for "Future Roads" (although it appears someone forgot to order the "F" badges for the car in the images above). We assure you that this is true.

That is really all we currently know about this bizarre estate. Except that only 99 samples will be created each month.
