Renegade Design decides that BMW’s plug-in hybrid SUV is too shy and retiring

Stay vigilant people: they walk among us. No, we’re not talking about conspiracy theorists or climate change deniers. We are of course referring to people who actually like the look of the BMW XM.

Heck, it would seem that some people on this planet even think that it’s a little too reserved in its image, and that it could do with being a little more out there.

For that very exclusive (we hope) group of people, a company known as Renegade Design has unveiled a new XM bodykit. Just 10 examples will make it to production, and they’ll be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, which probably means you’ll need to get your order in before 2026. There’s no time to lose!

The kit includes carbon fibre side skirts, arches, a front splitter, intake inserts, grill surrounds (we’re surprised they had enough carbon), bonnet and mirror covers. Blimey. Oh, and there’s a carbon roof spoiler and diffuser round the back.

We’re told that the first batch of bodykitted XMs will start shipping out at the end of September.
