Polestar is bringing some serious heat to Goodwood this year. Alongside its updated 2 sedan and the new 3 and 4 crossovers, the electric automaker will also unveil a new concept that previews their next-gen performance car. Meet the Polestar Concept BST—an absolute stunner.
The shape will be familiar to anyone who knows Polestar. The BST concept is based on the O2 concept from 2022, which will eventually lead to the production of the Polestar 6 convertible. This latest iteration of the sports car ramps up the aggression with flared arches, an assertive front end, 22-inch wheels, BST livery over silver paint, and a massive rear wing.
While there are no powertrain details yet, we can expect it to be seriously quick if it goes into production. The production Polestar 6 is set to boast 884 hp and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds. A BST variant could potentially deliver up to 1,000 hp and a sub-three-second 0-100 km/h sprint. We've seen similar performance boosts with the Polestar 2 when its BST version launched.
In addition to a static display of the Concept BST, the Polestar 6 will make its debut on the Goodwood hill climb this year. The Polestar 6 is scheduled for release in 2026, using the new Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA) that will also underpin the 5 sedan, Polestar’s answer to the Porsche Taycan.
Initially, the Polestar 6 will be limited to a batch of 500 cars in its first year, but CEO Thomas Ingenlath promises to keep this stunning sports car in production as long as there’s demand. The final production version is expected in 2025—and who knows, maybe a souped-up BST version will debut alongside it.
