Didn't production end in 2019?

Introducing the Pagani Zonda Arrivederci, what we’re assured is the absolute, definitive final Zonda. Though, telling a hypercar like this to quietly exit stage left seems a bit naïve, doesn’t it?

And thank goodness for that. What we’re looking at here is yet another spectacular one-off, brought to life by a company that’s practically made an art form out of crafting spectacular one-offs, all based on a car that’s nothing short of legendary. With no formal reveal from Pagani, these mouth-watering renders have been delivered by Modena Design UK, a Scottish outfit known for creating bespoke renderings of supercars and hypercars. They’ve generously shared these virtual teasers with Top Gear, giving us a glimpse into what they’ve conjured for the Arrivederci’s lucky owner.

And what a car it is. Rumour has it the Arrivederci is fitted with the same 7.3-litre AMG V12 that powered the Zonda Barchetta, which means we’re talking 589 kW and a staggering 1,100 Nm of torque, all funneled through a six-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. The result? Blistering speed, though exact figures are still under wraps.

From the renders, it’s clear that carbon fibre plays a starring role – with stunning finishes in crystal clear, blue, and silver – all draped in a bespoke livery that tips its hat to Martini Racing. The livery flows seamlessly onto the rear wing endplates, which are attached to a brand-new rear wing, specially crafted for the Arrivederci.

The rear lights? Inspired by the Zonda R. The rear air ducts? A nod to the Zonda C12. Then there are the flared arches and dual canards from the Zonda 760, and front intakes and ducts borrowed from the Zonda Barchetta. It’s essentially a “Greatest Hits” album of Zonda’s finest design cues, and it looks phenomenal.

Elsewhere, you’ll spot custom wheels, a red leather interior, and a steering wheel derived from the Zonda F.

The price? Don’t even ask. Mostly because we don’t know, but it’s bound to stretch well into eight figures. The Zonda’s farewell bash, it seems, is an exclusive and costly affair. Arrivederci, old friend… until, inevitably, the next one.
