By Novitec’s lofty standards, its take on the Ferrari Roma is… fairly understated. There are no outrageous canards or spoilers stretching to infinity, but don’t be deceived: the subtle aesthetics are paired with a remarkably potent powertrain.
The Bavarian tuner has boosted the twin-turbo V8 to 533 kW and 882 Nm - an increase of 62 kW and 122 Nm. This has shaved the 0-100 km/h time down to 3.2 seconds and pushed the top speed beyond 320 km/h. Impressive feats for a car that’s marketed as a sporty grand tourer.
Mechanically, not much else has been altered, but Novitec has equipped the Roma with a newly sprung suspension setup, lowering the car by 35 mm. This adds a sharper focus to the equally new 22-inch five-spoke Vossen alloys. Looks good, doesn’t it?
There’s also a discreet body kit that’s nicely tucked beneath the black and gold color scheme. It features a new front lip designed to reduce lift at high speeds (allegedly), a revised front grille, new wing mirrors, and rocker panels.
The rear has also been updated with new trim elements above the quad taillights, while a reworked diffuser has been added to complement the fresh exhaust tips. All of this, as you might have guessed, is crafted from carbon fiber. Or Smarties. But probably carbon fiber.
No word on pricing yet for Novitec’s conversion, but you’ll need to shell out at least £210k for a Roma Spider to start with.
