You get a racing livery plus a host of optional kit as standard

Mercedes-AMG is back at it, blending the pulse-pounding drama of Formula 1 with the sheer elegance of the new AMG GT. Say hello to the Motorsport Collectors Edition, a masterpiece that brings the racetrack straight to the streets.

Based on the fearsome AMG GT 63 Pro—already a track-honed monster—this special edition takes its design cues from the W14 and W15 F1 cars of the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The livery? It’s Obsidian Black metallic, complemented by meticulously hand-painted Mercedes stars and accented with stripes in Petronas’s iconic corporate colour—a nod to their long-time partner and title sponsor.

That sharp aqua blue we know from the F1 cars wraps itself elegantly around the body, highlighting the car’s skirting, shoulder line, and the 21-inch (53 cm) wheels. Even the brake calipers pop in the same vibrant hue, giving it a striking motorsport edge.

As for the details? It’s all in the AMG Night Package, a bundle of aesthetic tweaks that swaps the standard chrome accents—like the radiator grille and Mercedes star badges—for a sleeker black finish. And because no hardcore AMG should be without a few eye-catching touches, the panoramic glass roof and fixed rear spoiler (normally optional) come as standard, rounding off the exterior’s aggressive stance.

Step inside, and it’s all about indulgence. You’re greeted by seats wrapped in luxurious black Nappa leather and microfibre cloth, complete with stitching that echoes Petronas’s unmistakable aqua. Even the door sills get in on the act, lit up in the same colour, giving you a proper F1 vibe before you even hit the start button.

And here’s the catch: only 200 units of the Motorsport Collectors Edition will be made, each coming with a bespoke indoor car cover featuring the same stylish design as the car itself. Think of it as a garage-ready shrine to Mercedes-AMG’s racing legacy.

This isn’t the first time Mercedes has brought F1 flair to its road-going GT models. The previous-generation GT was graced with the P One Edition, though Mercedes kept the production numbers under wraps. That edition was rumoured to be a closely guarded secret, reserved for those lucky enough to snatch up the **Mercedes-AMG One hypercar**.

Once again, Mercedes-AMG proves it knows exactly how to celebrate its F1 dominance—by letting you take a piece of the track home.
