Here’s the deal: Dodge has unleashed the Hornet R/T FC1-X, a rallycross monster with 812kW on tap, all-wheel drive, and a spine-compressing 0-100 km/h in just 1.4 seconds. It’ll shove you back into your seat with nearly 2g of force off the line. Intense? That’s putting it mildly.
Underneath, it’s powered by four axial flux motors—making it Dodge’s first proper electric racer with real bite. Four of these are tearing up the Nitrocross Group E class this year, with none other than Lia Block behind the wheel. So yeah, it’s got pedigree.
Mechanical highlights? You’re looking at a tubular chassis with a carbon fibre tub at its core, so it’s light and tough. Brakes come courtesy of Alcon, while double wishbone suspension with a hefty 30cm of wheel travel means it can handle pretty much anything thrown its way. Adjustable anti-roll bars are in play to fine-tune this beast to perfection.
Visually, the FC1-X is all aggression and attitude. It’s jacked up on its trick suspension, towering over anything that dares to challenge it, and boasts a much wider stance with chunky arches and an array of splitters and wings that mean business. It’s the Hornet on a serious dose of adrenaline, and it looks every bit the part.
