The McLaren MP4-21 can be your for a reasonable.....£2.2 million

For the most part, people would celebrate Lewis Hamilton's victory in the British Grand Prix—his 104th in Formula One—with an extra pint or a well-considered Instagram post. However, what if you were carrying about a few million pounds in your pocket? Buying the MP4-21, his first-ever test vehicle from McLaren, wouldn't be a terrible idea, either.

With RM Sotheby's, the exact identical Adrian Newey-designed vehicle is currently for sale. The pre-auction guide price is estimated to be between £2.2 and £2.7 million. A good chunk of racing history, a passably stylish livery, and a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter V8 with 760 horsepower at the redline are all yours in return. I hope they include a set of earplugs.

The ferocious power is thereafter managed by a sequential seven-speed gearbox and directed towards a pair of fully road-legal Michelin tires. Oh, and the unit weighs just 605 kg total, making it a *fairly* good choice for the lucky bidder's private track day hoon.

Additional history on chassis number "21A-03": Pablo Montoya raced it in the first three races of the 2006 season, placing it fifth and fourth before the third race of the season saw its conclusion. What if you claimed that it hasn't really been used much?

Anyhow, a Formula One vehicle, much less one with the kind of significance this one has, doesn't usually go up for auction. Therefore, the two million pounds or more that would be required to win the auction *might* be justified.
