It's unclear what it means when it says that the Niagara Concept "embodies" a range of eight new cars for markets outside of Europe.

Renault has made the decision to rule the globe. Okay, so maybe that's a little much, but we've been informed that the next iteration of the "Renaulution" plan would see the introduction of eight (yes, eight) new models in markets outside of Europe by 2027.

The Renaulution comprises vehicles like as the revived, all-electric 4 and 5, but it will also involve a €3 billion investment to “boost the brand’s performance in these key historical regions” in countries including as Brazil, Turkey, India, South Korea, and Colombia.

Renault has developed a prototype automobile that it claims "embodies this international offensive" in honor of this incredibly clever scheme. The Niagara Concept is a dual-cab pickup truck with a hybrid powertrain that sends power to all four wheels. It is built on a new modular chassis from the Renault Group.

It is undoubtedly remarkable, isn't it? And not simply because of the bold camouflage outfit. Along with angular headlamps, skid plates, massive arches, and a complete lifestyle-spec roof rack, there's also an angry face.

It appears that the platform beneath can support vehicles that are four to five meters long and can support various engine configurations. The front axle of the Niagara truck is powered by an internal combustion engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, while an electric motor is responsible for the rear axle drive. The turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder Kardian crossover, which you can see here, is the first of the eight production cars to produce 123 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque.

Come on, Renault, it's time for another attempt at the pickup market. We've all forgotten about the Alaskan, based on the Nissan Navara.
