Get 'em while they're hot

It’s official – Hot Wheels and Formula 1 have teamed up, and that means we’re about to see some incredible, pint-sized F1 machines rolling into our collections. The first car has already landed, and while it’s not tied to a specific team, it gives us a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come.

This miniature F1 car is a proper enthusiast's delight, complete with three sets of interchangeable Real Rider wheels, all fitted with Pirelli-branded tires – just like the full-size versions burning rubber on the track. The car itself sports a striking white body, complemented by a sleek black interior. Adorned with a special Hot Wheels livery and the number 68 on the nose (a nod to Mattel's launch year), it’s as much a tribute to history as it is a preview of Hot Wheels' F1 future.

Mattel’s packaging adds to the nostalgia, with the car presented on an illustrated blister card inspired by the original 16 Hot Wheels lineup. It even comes in a protective Kar Keepers clamshell case, perfect for the serious collector.

Priced at €23 (about $25), the car is available for pre-order, but Mattel’s capping it at two per customer to keep things fair. Shipping is set for June 27, 2025, and this marks the first in a series of F1 racers born from the new partnership between Hot Wheels and Formula 1.

But there’s more, this is just the beginning. A full range of Hot Wheels F1 cars, representing various teams, is on the horizon, along with other racing-themed products. Next year, we’ll see even more of these 1:64-scale beauties hitting the shelves, giving fans a proper taste of Formula 1 action in miniature form.
