The Le Mans Winner is an unrestricted 858-HP Track monster you can buy

At the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Italian brand Ferrari achieved an unprecedented victory with the 499P, something it hadn't done since 1965. For a select few clients, the new 499P Modificata offers the chance to operate an updated version of this race-bred vehicle on the track.

The race car's non-competitive counterpart is called the 499P Modificata. Ferrari is now able to modify the vehicles in ways that are prohibited under Le Mans regulations. For instance, the FIA regulations no longer limit the front axle's electric motor's operating speed to 190 km/h; it may now operate at lower speeds. The drivers will be able to utilize the all-wheel-drive system more frequently with this configuration.

Ferrari includes a "Push to Pass" mechanism as well. An additional 161 horsepower (120 kilowatts) may be unlocked for 7.0 seconds by pressing a button behind the steering wheel, provided the driver applies full throttle. This raises the powertrain's maximum output from the standard 697 horsepower (520 kW) to 858 horsepower (640 kW) for a short while.

Modificata's engine and driveability maps have undergone minor adjustments. Other adjustments include revised start-assist technology and traction control logic.

A mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 engine that Ferrari takes from the 296 GT3 racing car completes the drivetrain. The mill does not reside in a subframe; rather, it is a stressed element of the car's chassis. The powertrain delivers its energy to a sequential gearbox with seven speeds.

The cabin of the 499P Modificata is identical to that of the Le Mans racer. It has a single seat that is ergonomically identical to the competition model.

Launching alongside the 499P Modificata is Ferrari's new Sport Prototipi Clienti initiative. In order to free up consumers' time to drive, it allows the manufacturer to handle maintenance, track-side support, and logistics.

Ferrari has not yet disclosed the number of 499P Modificata instances it intends to produce or the price of each model. However, be prepared to pay a premium amount to drive a modified Le Mans champion.
