The livery pays tribute to his 2009 F1 Brawn GP race car

On Friday, August 18, the reigning Formula One World Champion Jenson Button will make his Lotus Evija debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The distinctive color scheme of the electric hypercar pays homage to the 2009 F1 Brawn GP race car from his championship season and incorporates individual details to honor his F1 career.

Button's Lotus Evija is entirely customised, much like all other versions of the model. The distinctive color scheme—Arctic White with Verve Yellow and Carbon Black accents—and the number 22 prominently featured on the deployable side mirror housings pay homage to the Brawn GP car from his F1 World Championship season. Another example of the attention to detail Lotus provides Evija clients is the laser-etched dates and locations of his 15 F1 triumphs on the metal strip between the seats.

White and black perforated leather seats dominate the interior of Jenson's supercar, which also features an ebony Alcantara headliner and steering wheel. Additional distinctive stitching in lime yellow draws attention to more striking details. The pedals, center console rotary, start/stop button, steering wheel-mounted mode switch, and air vent covers all have the same hue to improve their appearance.

The gloss black alloy wheels with magnesium matte black details are home to Verve Yellow brake calipers. Another element of the Evija that draws inspiration from motorsport is the center-locking wheel nut, which has an anodized silver finish. The Evija Fittipaldi, a black automobile with gold accents honoring Emerson Fittipaldi's 1972 F1 title in the Lotus Type 72, is noticeably different from the vehicle in appearance.

Although all variants of the pure electric hypercar have the same drivetrain and performance, Lotus claims that personalization of the Lotus Evija is a crucial aspect of the client experience. The car's official power output at the Quail was discovered to be 2,011 horsepower, which is a little bit higher than Lotus had initially said. That makes the Evija the most powerful production road vehicle ever, according to Lotus.

Visitors to the Quail will also get the chance to view the US debut of the Lotus Eletre Hyper-SUV and the introduction of an entirely new track-only performance car that draws influence from Lotus' legendary racing background in addition to Button's Evija.
