Where could the frenchman end up next season?

After the 2024 Formula One season, Esteban Ocon will be departing from Alpine. Yes, his team has announced that Esteban Ocon will not be racing in the Monaco Grand Prix next year, following his foolish move to dive under his teammate on the first lap of the race. This was just over a week ago.

The official statement is as follows: "Esteban Ocon and the BWT Alpine F1 Team have mutually decided to part ways at the end of the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season, marking the end of the Frenchman's contract with the team."

It's not immediately clear who initiated contact there, is it? Ocon's five-year employment with Alpine will come to an end with this separation. At the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, the French driver delivered the team—in its current form—its first Formula One victory.

His finest result came in the drivers' championship of 2022, when Alpine finished fourth in the constructors' championship.

Being a Formula 1 racer for this team has been an important time in Ocon's life, he remarked. "Even though I've been a full-time race driver here for five years, Enstone will always hold a particular place in my heart because it was here that I began my professional career as a youngster.

We have experienced both wonderful and difficult times together, and I want to express my gratitude to the entire team for these priceless experiences. I'll make my plans known as soon as possible, but for now, I'm just focused on playing well for this squad and finishing the season well.

Following the incident in Monaco, Bruno Famin, the manager of the Alpine team, reportedly lost his cool with the 27-year-old and threatened to punish him on French TV station Canal+. However, his last remarks were a little more upbeat.

First and foremost, Famin expressed gratitude to Esteban for his five years of dedication to the team. "We have shared in some incredible moments throughout his tenure, the most memorable of which being a thrilling victory at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix.

"We still have 16 races left in 2024, and we have one goal in mind: to keep working as a team to achieve the greatest on-track times possible. When the time comes for Esteban to begin his new chapter in his driving career, we wish him all the best.
