Not exactly but Alpine will be running a special livery for the Spa GP

Ladies and gents, feast your eyes on Alpine F1's latest spectacle: the one-off Deadpool & Wolverine livery, set to make a striking appearance at the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa this weekend. It's menacing, it's bold, and it’s very, very cool.

Timed perfectly with the release of Ryan Reynolds' newest anti-superhero blockbuster, this livery adopts the unmistakable red and black of Deadpool's iconic suit. Sadly, F1 regulations prevent them from running a yellow and black Wolverine-themed alternative simultaneously. Boo. Won’t someone think of Hugh Jackman?

This marks Alpine’s first special race livery since their skateboarding-and-apparel-brand camo design for the Las Vegas Grand Prix last November. The team is banking on this fresh look to inspire Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly to deliver some stellar performances this weekend. Ocon’s been in a bit of a dry spell since the Spanish Grand Prix, and Gasly's had a rough run with two consecutive DNFs, leaving the team languishing in eighth place in the constructors’ standings.

Rumour has it that Alpine might ditch its own F1 engine programme in favour of a Mercedes deal for 2026. If that happens, a rebrand will be in order. How does "Alpine Powered by X-Force" sound?

Here's hoping the Deadpool & Wolverine livery brings some much-needed luck and points to the team this weekend.
