25 special models will be sold in Spain

There is still time for at least one more special edition of the Tourist Trophy, so hold off on pouring one out for the Audi TT just yet. Only 25 of the sports car's limited-edition coupes, each of which will have an individual number, will be sold in Spain. After going on sale in 1998, three years after the eponymous idea made its premiere at the 1995 Frankfurt Motor Show, the TT now celebrates 25 years of manufacturing.

It is based on the 45 TFSI Quattro model, which has a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine tuned to produce 245 horsepower and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This combination allows the TT to accelerate from a stop to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.1 seconds and achieve its top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h), which is electronically controlled.

The limited-edition TT, shown here in Nogaro Blue, is also available in Tango Red and Glacier White. The S Line Competition Packages and tinted windows are included, and the 20-inch black Audi Sport wheels have 10 Y-spokes and are paired with red brake calipers. Depending on the color of the body, the interior has been spruced up with a combination of leather and Alcantara and either red or blue contrasting stitching.

This TT is only available in Spain, but it comes with a ton of standard features, such the S sports seats and flat-bottomed steering wheel. In addition to the customary technological elements like the Audi Virtual Cockpit and matrix LED headlights, it also has beautiful carbon accents. In November, when it goes on sale, it will cost you R1.6 million.
