Meet ABT’s take on the Audi Q8, essentially, an Audi Q8 with more of everything you didn’t know you needed. It’s not just about cranking up the power; this is about giving the Q8 more aggression, more presence, and a touch more luxury inside, because clearly, Audi missed a trick or two.
No matter which engine your Q8 comes with, whether it’s the V6 or the beefier V8 - ABT’s ‘Power S’ performance pack is ready to squeeze out an extra 52kW (70bhp). That boost brings new life to the Q8’s performance, but there’s more to come. ABT also offers a sportier suspension setup, which sharpens up the handling and gives the Q8 the dynamic edge it sorely needed.
But the real drama is in the aero package. Finally! ABT has added a more aggressive front lip, new side skirts, and a completely redesigned rear bumper. There’s even a sharp new rear wing to complete the look. If that’s not enough, there’s also the option for quad exhaust tailpipes, two-piece wheel arch inserts, air intake covers, and a set of 23-inch twin-spoke alloys. Pro tip: try to choose a colour that complements the upgrades - something bold.
Step inside, and ABT has turned up the luxury dial too. The cabin now sports custom dashboard and seat frame trim, along with a glossy carbon fibre gear shifter to match. ABT logos illuminate the door sills, because why not? Elsewhere, it’s the usual Q8 business, which means LED interior lighting, four-zone climate control, a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, and twin infotainment screens anchoring the dashboard. It’s still a seriously nice place to sit, now with a bit more attitude.
As for pricing, well, that depends on how far down the ABT rabbit hole you’re willing to go. For the current Q8 TFSI E, you’re looking at around R400k for the full checklist of ABT upgrades. Worth it? If you’re after a Q8 that’ll turn more heads and feel that much more special, it’s hard to argue against.
