The GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe has received an upgrade from Mercedes-AMG. As the updated super-sedan goes on sale in Europe, the sedan features revised front-end style, a new exterior color choice, and other minor changes.
The 2024 GT63 S E Performance 4-Door Coupe features a face that draws stylistic influences from the new AMG GT Coupe. It has a lower grille opening that is substantially wider and smaller and pinches the outboard intakes that were previously gaping into stylish vertical slits. The GT's newly styled grille, which is higher and has additional black trim around the bottom, is framed by multibeam LED primary headlights.
Small interior alterations have been made. The wireless charging station and motorized sunroof are standard features thanks to Mercedes. The business also added AMG-specific displays with individually programmable features to the MBUX infotainment system of the vehicle. Although the Burmester High-End 3D Surround Sound System is an option, a Burmester Surround Sound System is included as standard.
The 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged plug-in hybrid engine under the hood produces the same 831 horsepower (620 kilowatts) and 1,400 Newton-meters of torque. The engine is coupled with the AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system and the nine-speed AMG Speedshift MCT 9G gearbox.
Mercedes said the car could reach 100 kph in 2.9 seconds and had a peak speed of 314 kph when it first appeared in 2021. The AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes, active rear-axle steering, and AMG Ride Control+ suspension with adjustable damping help it maintain control of all that speed.
The AMG Aerodynamics package, two AMG Night packages, the AMG Carbon package, and the AMG Chrome package are available options. Additionally available are the Manufaktur Selenite Grey Magno paint and the Active Multicontour Seat kit.
Mercedes upgraded the GT43 and GT53 models' appearances in May. The carmaker peppered the less expensive vehicles in the range with stylistic ideas from the GT63 version.
