For North America, 220 of each will be produced based on R/T Scat Pack Widebody trims.

Mopar has provided internal enhancements for Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge automobiles for many years. No exemption applies in 2023, although it is bittersweet. It's time for one final Hemi-powered dance with special edition Mopar cars as the Dodge Charger and Challenger as we know it will be gone by the end of the year. And to make it even more unique, there are really two versions.

This is the first time two have been made available simultaneously and is simply referred to as the Mopar 2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger special-edition versions. Each is built using the R/T Scat Pack Widebody trim, which means a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is housed in the engine compartment. The only functional changes made by Mopar are cosmetic, thus the naturally aspirated engine continues to produce 485 horsepower as usual.

The Challenger comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission; an eight-speed automatic is an option. Both vehicles ride on the Widebody competition suspension with six-piston Brembo brakes up front and four-piston brakes at the back. The Charger is an automatic only vehicle. Instead of the customary Dodge black, the calipers have a unique Mopar coat of blue. The widebody fenders will be exposed by 20-inch wheels and 305/35 series tires.

Other special edition changes include the addition of a wide matte black over-the-top stripe that is broken up by thin blue stripes on the borders. The grille features a custom Mopar insignia and extra blue accents, and these special-edition cars only have a carbon fiber spoiler at the back. Inside, you can discover more Mopar branding on the instrument panel and floormats, the latter of which has a serial number. Additionally, these automobiles have a trunk mat and vibrant door sills that make them stand out from the crowd.

Production is restricted to 440 units overall, or 220 of each. Twenty of the 200 will go to US purchasers in Canada. And as long as it's black, you may have any color you want.

According to Mike Koval, president of Mopar North America, "Our iconic two- and four-door muscle cars from Dodge are perfect vehicles to continue our annual tradition of offering exclusive, performance-oriented, low-volume packages of factory-backed, quality-tested performance parts and accessories from the Mopar Custom Shop."
